Highmoon's Ponderings

Miami is blessed/cursed with weird weather. Today, in the morning, we had a bonafide storm, almost a mini-hurricane, complete with 40 mph gusts and furniture-shaking thunder. Check out this video I took!

By 2 pm it was all over, the sun was shinning, birds were singing, and it was as if nothing had happened. Only the overflowing pool bore witness to the morning weather.

Yep, that’s my city!

We don’t celebrate Easter (obviously!) but our courtyard has nevertheless been enlisted for the Easter egg hunt the front door neighbors put together for their kids. Which is cute, regardless of. I could care less but the kids are having fun.

I do wonder, however, why do our friends and family, people who very well know we are Jewish, still wish us a Happy Easter (and a Merry Christmas, for that matter)! We just wish them a Happy Passover in return.

I’ve been doing an experiment today with Twitter, keeping a fairly up-to-the-minute account of things I’m doing during the day, just to see what the heck I’m up to once the TwitterTools update posts. We’ll see.

As for the “Running” part of the title, well, it’s Friday so that’s normal. Add to that the fact it’s Pesach, so Shabbat cooking is a little bit more restricted, and that I am trying to get the new episode of the podcast up and running and the result is a very frazzled Danny who should be finishing his work so he can leave already.
